SOUL RYEDERS Quarterly Wnter 2023 written on white background with colored snowflakes at the bottom

Dear Community,

In case you have not heard, this May 21st, SOUL RYEDERS will be hosting our inaugural Half Marathon/5K at Playland Park in Rye! And we are so excited for all the ways YOU can participate!

SOUL RYEDERS became the organization it is today due to the many individuals who participated in the Avon39 walk in NYC. Our support continued by participating in other local events such as the Westchester Triathlon and The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, but we aspired to create our own event. Then one of our own, SOUL RYEDERS' board member Adrian Deen, began running his own half marathon in memory of his wife, April, while raising money to support our organization. His determination told us the time was right. Over the last year, our Leadership Team along with our five volunteer co-chairs, have come together to create a sustainable and exciting event for many years to come.

Our Half Marathon is open to runners 12 years of age and older, while our 5k is open to run or walk for participants of all ages and abilities. This event provides a venue to highlight the importance of a healthy lifestyle, raise awareness and honor those impacted by cancer and to HAVE FUN!

We welcome you to get involved and join us as we build excitement for our community and our organization. Individuals, families and friends can take part in the event as a participant, volunteer, sponsor and cheer on your community members.

We are thrilled to see our dream come to life and hope YOU will be a part of it!

And please know our mission remains steadfast, if you or someone you know could use our programs and services, please share our new client form with them so they can contact us for support.

See you on May 21st!
