Dear Community, I have a story to share with you. A few months ago, we received a call from a woman recently diagnosed with cancer, but she was not specifically looking for support from SOUL RYEDERS. She explained that during the past few months of treatment she had been doing jigsaw puzzles as a way to focus herself on days that she was not feeling well. It felt good to accomplish something while being isolated from others and not really wanting to do much of anything. One day while she was shopping for puzzles at a nearby bookstore, she met a woman who was there in search of something to do while she, too, was undergoing cancer treatments. After a brief chat, she bought a puzzle for her new acquaintance. This encounter spurred her to find an organization who would benefit from a donation of puzzles. SOUL RYEDERS was mentioned to her by a friend so she reached out. Ultimately, she made a donation of 40 puzzles for our client care packages. |

This woman’s inspired action has stuck with me. There are days when the work we do can feel hard and discouraging. Your contribution - by volunteering your time, sharing your skills or donating funds - on a daily basis, provides unending inspiration for our team. |
